Dear visitors,

the history of ironworking began around 4000 years ago, when the iron became to be used as an everyday working material. They discovered that by heating up the iron, it became more castable when hitting it with a hammer. From that discovery on, working as a blacksmith came true.

Blacksmiths were actually very appreciated, since by combining their skills and creativity, they produced pieces of jewellery, as well as weapons.

This way, ironworking has been an important piece of daily life from long ago.
